What Is Covered In Our Immediate Life Support Training

The training provided on the day will cover Adult, Paediatric, and Neonatal ILS, with both practical and theory sessions included.

The core training on the day includes:

• The importance of early recognition and escalation of a deteriorating patient
• Factors contributing to deteriorating health needs
• Complications with airway, breathing, and circulation leading to cardiac arrest
• The ABCDE approach for assessing and treating critically ill patients
• Ethical considerations in decisions regarding CPR
• The ReSPECT process and DNACPR
• Identifying reversible factors in medical emergencies
• Understanding normal cardiac rhythm
• Causes and prevention of cardiopulmonary arrest
• Skills in delivering high-quality CPR, using defibrillation (AED), and performing simple airway manoeuvres
• Utilising non-technical skills for initial leadership and effective team collaboration

What happens on the day?

Before the training begins, all attendees will sign in and have their ID checked before being offered a range of complimentary refreshments. After this, the training will begin, and all candidates will get hands-on practical training experience and participate in many interactive exercises. All attendees will also have a chance to ask questions and speak to one of our on-site experts, who can help with any queries.
