This week, we proudly led the first closed-door roundtable, uniting compliance providers, agency leaders, and key regulatory stakeholders.

This wasn’t a networking event. It was a reckoning.

The purpose?🎯To confront the shortcuts, loopholes, and unsafe practices that have gone unchecked for too long, and draw a clear line in the sand.

From whistleblower reports and agency feedback, everyone came prepared to share shocking examples from clinicians and compliance staff – the evidence was overwhelming:

🚩 Manual Handling training over Zoom, with no hands-on element or observed competency.

🚩 Face-to-face sessions delivered without hoists or appropriate equipment.

🚩 “Interviews” done solely via online forms – no ID check or safeguarding.

🚩 FTW certificates renewed using others’ certificates – no medical history, no original checks. A clear breach of SEQOHS.

🚩 BCG scar checks via video link or by unqualified, non-clinical staff.

🚩 One provider trained non-clinical agency staff to verify BCG scars – a practice with no clinical basis and major safeguarding risks.

🚩 Personal medical data stored on unsecured portals – no audit trails, no 2FA, poor access controls.

🚩 Conflicts of interest: training company owners influencing agencies, with access to sensitive health data.

These aren’t minor lapses. They’re deliberate shortcuts – exposing agencies to audit failure, regulatory action, and reputational harm.

For too long, frameworks and auditors looked the other way – that era is over.

This group made it clear: standards must rise. There’s no room for grey areas or willful ignorance. But this wasn’t just about calling out the bad; it was about building something better.

✅ Quarterly national compliance forums

✅ Shared resources, audit guidance, and safer onboarding models

✅ Support for agencies who want to get it right

✅ Collaboration on clearer minimum standards for all delivery methods

✅ And full agreement: “we didn’t know” is no longer acceptable

Agencies must ask tougher questions:

❓Who built your provider’s platform?

❓How is data stored, accessed, and protected?

❓Are clinicians actually involved?

❓Can the provider prove they meet audit expectations – or are you being sold a shortcut?

Let’s be clear:

💥 Silence is no longer an option

💥 The evidence is in

💥 And the industry is watching

If you’re unsure about your provider – ask. If they can’t show you how they meet the standards – walk away, because when the consequences land, ignorance won’t protect you.
