The Direct Training Academy Ltd proudly announces its recent achievement as a certified training provider for the Bild Act, reflecting our commitment to uphold the highest standards in training and development within the healthcare sector.

Bild Association of Certified Training has been set up to certify training services that include a restrictive physical intervention. They are licenced by the Restraint Reduction Network to certify services as complying with the Restraint Reduction Network Training Standards.

With this certification, we aim to uphold the standards which are designed for:

• Protecting Human Rights: Advocating for fundamental human rights and embracing person-centred best-interest and therapeutic approaches.
• Enhancing Quality of Life: Improving the quality of life for individuals undergoing restraint and those providing support.
• Reducing Reliance on Restrictive Practices: Promoting a positive culture and practices centred on prevention, de-escalation, and reflective practices to decrease reliance on restrictive measures.
• Understanding Root Causes: Increasing awareness of the root causes of behaviour, recognising that distress due to unmet needs often underlies many behaviours.
• Safe and Dignified Use of Restrictive Interventions: When necessary, emphasise the safest and most dignified application of restrictive interventions, including physical restraint.

Our certification includes a comprehensive training needs analysis, ensuring that training aligns with the specific needs of diverse populations and settings. The scheme also incorporates heightened scrutiny and surveillance of curricula, senior trainers, and affiliated organisations, emphasising our commitment to excellence and accountability.
