Well, it’s that time of year again—the office biscuits have mysteriously disappeared faster than a client on a Friday afternoon when you’re trying to get an invoice signed off, and we’re all desperately trying to remember how to wrap gifts that aren’t just rectangles. Honestly, this time of year turns even the most prepared among us into amateur origami artists and Sellotape wranglers.

Celebrating the Year That Was

2024 has been one for the books, and we’re thrilled to have achieved so much alongside our amazing clients. From launching new services to celebrating milestones, it’s been a year filled with hard work, laughter, and, yes, a few late nights.

Here’s a quick look at what we’ve been up to:

• AHP Appraisals Launch: Back in January, we set the industry standard by introducing our Allied Health Professionals Appraisals service. Streamlined, efficient, and focused on compliance—because you deserve nothing less.
• BILD ACT Certification: This year, our Direct Training Academy received certification from the BILD Association of Certified Training. It’s not just another feather in our cap; it’s a testament to our commitment to delivering the best in practical training.
• Top 10 Best Workplaces: We were absolutely buzzing to rank 10th on the UK’s Best Workplaces list for 2024. Turns out, treating people well pays off—not just in happy staff but in even better service for our clients.
• London Office Launch: In March, we opened our very first London office. A new home for our growing team and a fantastic hub to better support you, our valued clients.
• Training Investments: Not content with just keeping up, we doubled down on quality with the purchase of 200 new manikins this year—and with another 100 arriving in January 2025, we’re ready to kick things up another notch.

Meanwhile, in the World of “Training”…

Now, let’s address the ahem alternative methods popping up elsewhere in the industry. Rumour has it that Santa has issued an urgent memo to certain training providers, firmly placing them on the naughty list. Why, you ask? Oh, just the small matter of delivering BLS training with… a pillow. Yes, a pillow—the very thing you use for napping is apparently now doubling as life-saving equipment. You couldn’t make it up.

And let’s not forget manual handling “training” conducted entirely over video link—without a hoist, sling, or even a vague understanding of how to lift a box without pulling a muscle. We’re half expecting their next session to include moving imaginary patients using an umbrella and a bit of wishful thinking.

We hear their Christmas list this year includes:

• Enough pillows to outfit an entire bed showroom.
• A second-hand manikin that’s seen better days.
• A dictionary to finally figure out what “practical” means.

It’s almost funny until you remember it’s supposed to be life-saving training. But hey, if pillows and pretend hoists are the height of innovation, we’ll leave the “creativity” to them. Here at Healthier Business Group, we’ll stick to actual hands-on training with real equipment, real expertise, and real results.

Festive Opening Hours

🎅 25th December 2024 (Christmas Day) – Closed. We’ll be swapping emails for mince pies and pretending to like everyone’s cracker jokes.
🎁 26th December 2024 (Boxing Day) – Closed. Most of us will still be in pyjamas, avoiding leftover sprouts and regretting Monopoly-related family arguments.
🎆 1st January 2025 (New Year’s Day) – Closed. Kicking off the year with some much-needed rest before diving back into it all.

We’re open as usual on all other working days, with full service resuming on the 2nd of January.
