What is required

Practice Hours:
- 450 practice hours (900 hours if dual-registered).

Continuing Professional Development (CPD):
- 35 hours of CPD required, with at least 20 hours being participatory.

Practice-Related Feedback:
- 5 pieces of feedback from clients, patients, or colleagues.

Reflective Accounts:
- 5 reflective accounts based on CPD, feedback, or practice experience.
- Must be completed on the official NMC Reflective Account form – other formats will be rejected.
- If reflective accounts are incomplete or incorrect prior to booking, you will not be able to proceed with your reflective discussion.

Reflective Discussion:
- Must be carried out with another nurse or midwife.

Confirmation:
- An appropriate confirmer must verify your revalidation.
- You must also confirm your details directly with the NMC.

Health and Character:
- You must declare that you are capable of safe and effective practice.

Professional Indemnity:
- You must confirm that you have appropriate indemnity cover in place.
Training
